This course supports the student to communicate and own the meaning of a song for the express purpose of moving an audience, no matter what his singing experience is. No one need worry about being a "rookie" in this arena. I will be teaching everyone from the advanced professional actor and cabaret artist to the brave soul who wants to explore this notion for the first time. The Intensive deals as much with turning dreams into action and erasing fear as it does with starting, developing, or starring in a cabaret and/or concert career. Therefore, this course is not only for singers, but I think for anyone who wants to gain a sense of presence and authenticity in front of other people. I have successfully taught a wide range of non-singers: litigators, lecturers, storytellers-- as well as singers from opera to seasoned Broadway professionals. I have mentored
university students from Cornell, NYU & Sarah Lawrence as well as gifted teenagers from Belvoir Terrace and National Music Camp. Come to me with your dream and let's get you to your next level. Hone your skills to get the job.
